“Transeasonal” used to be term described by the industry as “it’s not quite winter or summer”. These days, the term has evolved into something quite unique and much more relevant. As the fashion cycle has sped up and lifestyles and climate have dictated, we now embrace ‘transeasonal’ clothing with a new vigour.
It’s the chance to mix your summer dresses with opaques and a light weight cardigan. It brings out the clever, resourceful stylist in us all. Take for example, this shoot by British Vogue titled ‘Before the fall’. Autumnal beauty at its best. Hemlines become fuller in a nod to fifties romance by Roberto Cavalli, Gucci favours deluxe hippies, mixing a shearling vest with a Cossack print dress and Marios Schwab plays with weight and texture proportions
