Just when we thought the Prada Fairy Bag couldn't get any more desirable, comes another version of it. With a plum base colour and made of deer hide don't get your hopes up about owning one: Prada isn't producing them.
Note the 'current bid'?(i most be much higher now)
That's because this edition of the Fairy handbag is only available through Prada's Prototype Auction platform.
And do you know what that means?
There's only one of them.

Ahh the igniting of my love of Gwyneth's shoes all started when she wore these Pachinni platform shoes.I really love her style nowadays

I felt really out of my body. I felt really disconnected. I felt really down; I felt pessemistic."Gwyneth is resting her elbow on an Iron Man mask.

New York heiress, socialite and model Lydia Hearst looks set to be the new Queen Bee on Gossip Girl.
Hearst has been confirmed as the latest addition to the cast, having landed a minor role on the teen show. It is reported that she flew back from London on the weekend to begin shooting scenes this week.
"She's beyond excited," a source revealed to Page Six. "Being young, rich and beautiful, I guess it was fated that Lydia should join the cast, but I don't believe she'll be playing a good girl."
Does Blair have a rival in the bad girl department to knock her off her perch

Gossip Girls
Your favourite TV high school rivals, Gossip Girl's Serena (Blake Lively) and Blair (Leighton Meester), feature in the latest issue of Nylon magazine, and here are a few snippets from their interview with the mag...
Leighton on playing her character on Gossip Girl: "Maybe I've known [Blair] somehow or I know her in myself and she needs somebody to portray her in a way that isn't completely harsh because she could be so hated."
Blake on how she almost turned down the show: "[I thought] if there are pet monkeys wearing coordinating outfits, that's not something I'm going to want to be a part of.... "
Leighton on Gossip Girl style: "Serena is more thrown together and effortless and doesn't really care, and is just like, has this sexiness to her without trying, and Blair is really uptight and conservative and put together and everything has to be perfect, you know Chuck is kind of cocky and he's just like, I don't know, a prick."
Blake on the weirdness of Internet Message boards: "Yeah, it's kind of crazy but after the first Sisterhood trailer even came out, um, I guess it's maybe I'm the only person with long blonde hair in Hollywood. I don't know, but everyone was like, "Oh, she should be Serena."

Duffy & D&G
Songbird Duffy has found a couple of new fans in Dolce & Gabbana.
The Welsh musician has impressed the Italian designers so much with her talent and retro '60s style they have signed her onto become their new muse.
Earlier this week she even performed for them especially at their showroom in Milan. "Duffy is thrilled - not least because she now gets to wear gorgeous designer clobber for free," a source told the Mirror.

Models
What does it take to become a top model? Shopping skills, apparently!
Fancy yourself the next Kate, Daria, Sasha or Lily? Forget good cheekbones and jawline (although yes, if you have these you're already halfway there, Sarah Doukas of Storm models tells Vogue.com).
No, what you really need, is a love of high-street shopping. Apparently Jourdan was "discovered" shopping at Primark Hammersmith, while Georgia Steed was in the middle of a bit of retail therapy in Oxford Street when model scouts came across her!
Doukas should know a thing or two about finding new talent - it was she who famously discovered a fresh-faced, 14-year-old Kate Moss at JFK airport. To hear more from Doukas and get a glimpse behind-the-scenes at Storm, visit Vogue.com.

Gwyneth Paltrow
I think it is fair to say that Vogue US hasn't had a decent cover in quite a while. After all, look at all the fuss stirred up by its April cover, starring LeBron James and Gisele Bundchen. For the latest May issue, Anna Wintour has chosen Gwyneth Paltrow, perhaps in the hope of redeeming herself.
Photographed by Mario Testino, Paltrow is wearing a gown from Oscar de la Renta's pre-fall '08 collection. A helmet from her latest film, Iron Man, has also been sneaked in for a bit of extra movie promotion.
The last time Wintour promoted a movie on her cover was in September '06 when Kirsten Dunst posed for her flick Marie Antoinette.

There's been a fairly strong reaction to Gwyneth Paltrow's May cover for US Vogue. Criticism ranges from mere helmut-hair jokes to the more scathing message board comments such as: "What Anna Wintour needed to do was put that mask on Fishsticks. It would have saved hours in airbrushing time."
The cover is one thing, but you may wish to reserve judgement until you see the rest of the pics

Gossip Girl
Gossip Girls Serena (Blake Lively) and Blair (Leighton Meester) have landed alternative covers for the May issue of Nylon magazine.
The reason for choosing the fledgling stars? To celebrate the mag's annual Young Hollywood issue of course.
After all, what two celebs are influencing young people and fashion more right now than these stylish girls?
Pick your favourite cover to decide who really is Queen Bee - Serena or Blair?

Hilary Duff
How does Hillary Duff handle conflict???? she explains in Allure magazine
The pop star/actress/business entrepreneur speaks to Allure, on Avril Lavigne calling her a “Mommy’s Girl.”
Says the Duffster: “I said something about about how she didn’t like her fans dressing like her, and how she should appreciate that because it’s a compliment. She called me a goody-goody."

What she meant to say was: "Avril Lavigne wishes she had the success I've had and the kind of love and support from my fans that I get. Too bad she's busy playing to empty arenas. I feel sorry Avril and her lack of talent. There are many douches in Hollywood, but she's one of the biggest!"

Christian Siriano on Ugly Betty
Project Runway winner Christian Siriano, who was famously spoofed on Saturday Night Live, is back on TV, playing himself in on ABC’s Ugly Betty in an episode airing May 1.
http://awake-smile.blogpsot.com
The plot: Mode magazine is trying to convince Christian to work with them for a fashion spread instead of their competitors. So the designer shows up for a meeting with an entourage of models wearing his designs and Runway judge Nina Garcia, who also plays herself on the episode.
“Filming Ugly Betty was amazing,” Siriano, 22, tells PEOPLE.
“The cast was the most fun, lively and supportive ever.”
http://awake-smile.blogpsot.com
In addition to the outfits he designed for his model pals, the Runway winner also whipped up a look for Becki Newton (Amanda) — who happens to be a huge Christian fan.
http://awake-smile.blogpsot.com
So, who was the fiercest cast member of them all? “Ooooh, they’re as fierce and ferocious as they can be,” raves Siriano. “Vanessa Williams is the queen of fierceness and Becki Newton is the princess.
I’m inviting them all to my Spring 2008-09 collection — it’ll be a great front row!” –Rennie Dyball

Kylie
Kylie on German Vogue
It's really hard to fault Kylie Minogue for anything she does (well, we might've had a bit of beef with her for that atrocious bondage outfit she wore on Dancing with the Stars).
But we're willing to forgive and forget because, on the whole, you can't deny the girl's got class.
Her latest cover for Vogue Germany is equally flawless, with our favourite pop princess channelling a Marilyn Monroe-esque vibe in sheer white halter dresses and strapless black chiffon.
Who would even guess the lady is pushing 40?

Luella
The Luella effect - even more ways to channel the Ghost World collection
If you need further proof that the high street has fallen in love with Luella this season, Here it is. Following on from Isabelle's round-up of the best floral frilled skirts and my column about the season of the girly geek, here are some of the other best buys on the high street to get that LFW look.
Luella kicked off the trend for tiny florals with her Spring/Summer collection and teamed it with bat-print tees, boots and blazers for an eclectic, youthful look. Both Lily Allen and Kimberly Stewart have already been spotted in Luella's punky florals.

Naturally the high street isn't far behind with a varied selection of cute flippy flowery skirts. For some reason most of them have been named 'Ditsy', maybe we need to send the garment factories a thesaurus huh?
http://awake-smile.blogspot.com
To get a slice of Luella style chic team with '90s influenced pieces and humourous accessories; retro tees, denim jackets and loafers will give the girly skirts a bit of style and punch. My favourite is the Warehouse skirt, which has a great shape and the most distinctive pattern of the five.

Dazed & Confused 'Flashdance'
What do you get when you combine a fashion director, a fairly underground-style publication, techno dancers and new fashion? No, not a waft of nostalgia (at least I should hope not) and not a drug-fuelled roller-disco but the latest Dazed & Confused cover.
This is big not only because Dazed has decided to give a male model its cover but also because this male model is an unknown.
In fact according to the notorious fashion grapevine, Kevin is not a model at all but a dancer caught up in "Tecktonick" (a dance supposedly all the rage in France!)
The cover story is called 'Flashdance' and features Kevin in a series of dancing style shots with the looser fashion of the season captured in a clubby, smoke and strobe light setting.

With Nicola Formichetti styling, you expect a certain level of fashion brilliance but not only does this shoot reach the bar of Nicola's past but we are provided with a fresh concept and shrouding model mystery.
The shoot is also photographed by Laurence Passera, another strong sartorial player. Now all I have to do is learn how to Tecktonick- as if we men didn't suffer enough already!

Nina Garcia
Nina Garcia has left her job as Fashion Director at Elle magazine…..and it's not pretty.
Word on the street is that she was "let go." However, there is no official explanation for her sudden departure.
It remains uncertain if this development will affect Nina's role as a judge on Project Runway, but we'd hate to see her go there too!
