Olsens launch new book 'Influence' in New York City
Team Olsen combined powers yesterday for the New York launch of their style book Influence (you can hear them talk about the book with Oprah Below).
But who had the edge?
Besides discussing what they eat for breakfast *snore* the Olsen twins' interview with Oprah was actually filled with some pretty interesting stuff. In this clip, Mary-Kate and Ashley discuss their new style book, Influence, and what it was like to interview Karl Lagerfeld the day before his runway show.
Pop: Autumn/winter 2008: Drew Barymore
With much doubt surrounding the future of POP after Katie Grand announced her defection to Condé Nast, publishers Bauer have reaffirmed their commitment to the magazine. However, without a new editor at the helm, the company has admitted it will drop its spring 2009 issue next year.
"It is inevitable a new editor will bring a new vision to the brand, but we are not prepared - nor under any pressure - to rush out an interim issue for the sake of it," said a Bauer spokeswoman. "We would rather invest time in relaunching in the fall 2009 with a magazine that will create a real difference to the fashion industry."
"Katie and her team have been utterly professional in producing a fantastic 20th anniversary issue, but now we want to move on to appointing a new editor for the next chapter of the POP story," the spokeswoman added.
"POP was, is, and will continue to be, a valuable member of our portfolio and we are really excited about what the future holds for the brand. The new era of POP launches fall 2009."
Katie Grand leaves POP to launch a new fashion title, Love, for Condé Nast. The first issue is due to be launched at the end of February.

McQ by Alexander McQueen ruched pleat cardigan
This grey cardigan from Alexander McQueen's McQ range has got an asymmetric fastening with ruching detail. The detailing is subtle enough for everyday wear buta bit more interesting than your average cardie. Available from Asos for £215 it's the kind of item that will give you a sense of class and smart with minimum effort.
Renata Morales
Absolutely mad for Renata Morales. The Mexican-born Canadian designer showed a collection of sexy but sophisticated cocktail attire. “It was inspired by human physiology combined with birds and flowers,” said Morales backstage at L’Oreal Fashion Week. The details and headpieces were Rodarte-ish in their execution. Morales also sent out a couple of surprises in the form of dresses with oversized cartoon prints by Japanese pop artist Yoshitomo Nara.

Vogue India: November 2008: Victoria Beckham
Vogue India mixes things up a little this month with Victoria Beckham on the cover. It’s very refreshing to not see a Bollywood starlet on the cover in the usual gown or couture piece (are they too modern for sari’s now?). Instead we have Victoria wearing a traditonal Indian Bridal Sari!
I love the piece itself and the fact that she’s only wearing a tika and no other jewellery (Indian brides can be a little OTT at times), but im not too keen on her hair and the background is way too similar to Aishwarya’s cover last month, which also seemed like a bridal issue at the time.
Thank you Vogue India for finally styling someone in a traditional Indian piece…..even if it has taken you over a year!.
What do you think? Did Vogue India get it right this time?
Preen Exclusive For Net-A-Porter.com
The dress that stood out the most was the fuschia "Power Dress", which is a stunning dress that is cinched in at the waist, with a voluminous tulip skirt.
NET-A-PORTER will exclusively sell the six piece collection today including a blue pencil skirt and an asymmetric dress.
Chace Crawford covers Vman winter 2008
“I’ll be out on the golf course, and some guy will come up to me, sort of
sheepishly, and be like, ‘Hey, my wife really loves the show.’ And I’m like,
‘C’mon man, you love the show.’” It’s cool, dude–you’re not alone.

Olsen does Menswear
The Olsens are obviously very busy at the moment, their coffee table fashion tome 'Influence' is released at the end of October and now they've announced plans for a menswear range which could be available as soon as next Autumn.
This could be more of a solo venture however as Ashley has taken control over The Row until her sister Mary-Kate 'has her personal life together'.
Either way, The Row has proven itself to be one of the more interesting -albeit expensive, celebrity ranges so it will be interesting to see what Ashley comes up with.
