Yves Saint Laurent S/S 09 : Claudia Schiffer by Inez & Vinoodh
THE HILLS ARE ALIVE: Yves Saint Laurent took Claudia Schiffer up to the iconic Hollywood hills in Los Angeles for its spring advertising campaign, positioning the supermodel, clad in a tuxedo jacket, in front of the big “Y.” Slated to break in February fashion magazines, the campaign was shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin under the direction of YSL creative director Stefano Pilati. Schiffer’s “Y’s up” pose is slated for the cover of YSL’s manifesto, the French fashion house’s seasonal newspaper-style advertising flyer, which is to be handed out next Valentine’s Day. (WWD)

Continue to View Collection Erin Fetherston Spring 2009 collection reminded me of those cute fairy-like dresses I used play dress-up with my Barbie's.
There were organza gowns with tiered ruffled skirts or ruffled shoulders that reminded me of fluffy clouds, and blue dresses that reminded me of the sky on a clear day.
I loved the multi-pastel patterns on dresses and skirts, and the metallic pieces, which are suitable for evenings out.Sequins also played a huge part of this collection, appearing on wide-leg pants and skirts.
I can very much picture Rachel Bilson or Daisy Lowe wearing this collection.
Jason Wu Spring 2009
Continue to View Collecetion Jason Wu Spring 2009 collection was full of very lady like pieces, for the well-groomed woman with a penchant for immaculate details.
The dresses ranged from floaty to fitted, many with embroidered details.
The collection included blazer and a wide array of shorts, which Jason Wu has not shown before, which shows he is growing as a designer, who is in his 6th season.
The colour palette was heavily weighted with pink, as well as white, black and grey.
His red carpet dresses were unfussy, elegant, young and fresh, but blogger TraiT is disappointed by them, as he believes these gowns are similar to the Lanvin Spring 2008 gowns.

Gowns & tea dresses got the ruffle treatment, and they were were cut slim creating a gorgeous silhouette

Apart from the gowns there were plenty of other pieces on display. Slim cropped pants, fitted jackets, cropped collarless jackets, sleeveless day dresses with floral prints underneath, ruffled blouses, pencil skirts, palazzo pants, and lots of bare shoulders from the strapless dresses.
The palette was a mixture of pinks, yellow, and teal blue, but red was the stand out colour of the collection.
