Michael Kors: Spring/Summer 2012

Michael Kors presented a spring 2012 collection inspired a combination of South Africa, modern design and luxury. Kors named the collection “Afriluxe,” with animal prints, hand dyed blanket dresses, colourful ponchos, silk anoraks, python trench coats, Utility pocket details a leopard feathered handkerchief gown and colors were desert-like, with limestone and clay paired with warm sunset shades of amber and sienna.

Michael Kors presented his Spring 2009 collection with the theme being Triple A: Architectural, Athletic and American.

The collection has a colour palette mostly made up of red, white and blue, with some yellow and black thrown into the mix.

Polka dots of different variety’s were presented in this collection, as well as mixed prints, and block colours.

Sheath dresses, capri pants, sweaters, 50s style volumous skirts, and cotton tees were presented alongside accessories including oversized handbags, white wayfarer sunglasses, capri pants to complete the nautical look

Michael Kors filming a guest appearance on Gossip Girl Tuesday at Capitale on the Bowery as part of a fashion week-themed episode. Unsuprisingly, he's a fan of the show: “I was glued . . . from Day One. I think it truly is the ‘car-crash-that’s-glamourous.’"
