Phillip Lim's Spring 2012 collection was sports theme with relaxed vs. structured shapes and sporty layers for his 3.1 Philip Lim collection; the palette of soft pastels like limoncello, lilac, and shell pink; offset with black, white, ivory, and khaki. Flowing clothes, made from silk, include side-slit trousers to delicate dresses with geometric ruffles and striping details. Band of Outsiders: Spring/Summer 2012

Scott Sternberg showed boyish tailoring and loose layers from his inspiration from Peter Weir’s 1975 film Picnic at Hanging Rock, for Band of Outsiders showing black boat hats with crisp white shirtdresses, navy wool coatdresses with raw edges, masculinity tailoring with utility in cropped pants and jackets, offset with asymmetrical layers and variety of floral prints including ombré style on skirts and dresses.
