What: Debut of The Wizard of Oz Ruby Slipper Collection, made with CRYSTALLIZED™ - Swarovski Elements, in the famed windows of Saks Fifth Avenue and in 10022-SHOE serves as the official launch to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week [MBFW]. Top shoe designers were granted creative license to reinterpret the iconic Ruby Slippers with unlimited access to CRYSTALLIZED™ - Swarovski Elements.

Gwen Stefani to redesign Dorothy’s shoes

Singer turned designer Gwen Stefani has been selected as one of 19 designers to interpret the Wizard of Oz's Dorothy’s iconic red shoes. With a lot of help from Swarovski, Gwen, under her L.A.M.B label will create her own version of the ruby slippers to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Wizard of Oz next year. The event also solidifies Gwen's status as a bonafide designer, taking part in the project alongside the likes of Alberta Ferretti, Christian Louboutin, Diane von Furstenberg, Giuseppe Zanotti, Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik, Moschino, Oscar de la Renta, Roger Vivier and more.

The designs, will be officially unveiled in Saks Fifth Avenue's windows and designer shoe salon during an event on 4 September. The shoes will then be displayed at the tents at Bryant Park during New York Fashion Week before making a tour of the US and eventually being auctioned off for charity.

Mario Testino's 'Obsessed by You' private view, London

Not even Haute Couture Week could stop fashion's elite from flying into London to attend a private viewing of Mario Testino's 'Obsessed by You' exhibition.

The famed photographer put on a glitzy 'do overnight which attracted a couple of supermodels - Claudia Schiffer and Naomi Campbell. A few major designers - Tom Ford, Christopher Bailey, Giles Deacon, and Manolo Blahnik. And the host of other fashion players including Daphne Guinness, fresh off the plane from Paris, where she had unveiled her first film, The Phenomenology of Body.
