NOT content with producing her own-name collections and acting as president of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, Diane Von Furstenberg is adding another string to her bow as the new celebrity columnist for US travel magazine, Departures.
The tireless fashion guru will write about her jet-set adventures for the bi-monthly title, starting with its November/December 2008 issue; she is even expected to illustrate her columns with her own photography.
Citing her "commanding and authoritative style", Departures' editor-in-chief Richard David Story explains in today's WWD that DVF has exactly what it takes to make it as a travel writer.
"Her whole life is like a Departures magazine," he adds.
