Teen Choice Award Fashion Scoop: Three Superstars, One Super-Stylist
Rachel Bilson, Scarlett Johansson and Kristen Bell might have completely different looks, but one thing they all have in common is their stylist Nicole Chavez. “I wanted a very casual, fun, young vibe — I was gravitating towards really soft palettes,” for all her clients. Rachel was Nicole’s first client four years ago when they met on the set of The O.C. and Bilson encouraged her to start styling. Rachel, who won for Teen Choice Movie Actress Action Adventure for her thriller Jumper, wore a blue one-shouldered Brian Reyes dress (someone that Rachel “loves working [with]“). Of her longtime client, Nicole says, “Rachel is very natural with fashion. She’s not afraid to wear something that is a little different or unexpected.”
Kristen Bell “immediately gravitated” to her Jenni Kayne hot pink skirt and nude cami. Of the look, Nicole says, “The color combo’s great. It’s super modern, cute. Perfect for Teen Choice.”
For Scarlett, it was a Matthew Williamson chiffon dress with a burst of colors on the beaded shoulders, but, says Nicole, “The real statement will be about the jewelry. It’s fun to layer things and be more bold.” All the pieces were from Scarlett’s friend jewelry designer Sonia Boyajian, who designed her engagement ring. Like Rachel, Nicole says Scarlett isn’t afraid of a fashion risk.

Rachel Bilson headlines Edie Rose for DKNY Jeans ad campaign
Taking a leaf out of Justin Timberlake's William Rast book is Rachel Bilson who stars in the ad campaign for her own clothing label, Edie Rose for DKNY Jeans.The actress appears in the ads alongside models, Fabienne Vanderhaeghen, Regina Feoktistova and Giedre Dukaskaitein. Photographed against a New York backdrop, the début line will launch in time for back-to-school.
"She was really hands-on with the entire process," said Kevin Monogue, president of DKNY Jeans. "She, with the help of stylist Tabitha Simmons, made the clothes come to life in such a youthful, authentic way, which is so true to Rachel's own personal style - always youthful, but appropriate."
Bilson's 15-piece sportswear line comprises of button-down tops, sweaters, jackets, T-shirts, dresses and two jeans styles - straight leg and skinny leg, in a dark wash.
Sadly for us in the U.K., the collection will be initially sold in the U.S. at department stores Macy's, Lord & Taylor, Nordstrom and the like. *Sigh* add it to your next NY shopping trip, or there is always eBay...

Chanel opened the doors of their brand new concept boutique in Robertson Boulevard, Los Angeles last night and the stars - mostly clad in black - came out to play. Rachel Bilson, Katy Perry, Amber Valletta, Leighton Meester and Michelle Trachtenberg kept things très noir except for a few pops of colour in the form of Rachel's clutch, Katy's floral headpiece and Michelle's metallic grey skirt.

Rachel Bilson is on the cover of the upcoming Nylon magazine - and it looks great! In the interview she talks about not being one of those girl with no underwear and one of her favourite animals - the pig!
"You won't see me getting into any cars without any undergarmets on."
"My mom is a sex therapist, which for me is like, okay mom, enough"
"All I will say [about Hayden Christensen] is that pigs are my favourite animal ... any person who owns a pig. I'm a fan of."
And to top it all of this issue of Nylon's is their biggest ever. :) I must buy in my books.

Rachel Bilson is sporting an adorable new hairdo - a nice fringed do - at the Japan premiere of her newest movie, Jumper. I love that she is smiling, after all who can keep a straight face with co-star Hayden Christensen and movie director, Doug Liman hamming it up during the photos by her side? Her strapless pale green Zac Posen dress is gorgeous, the inky colours at the bottom are just stunning and it suits her figure beautifully. I think it looks better on her than it did on the runway model... it's nice when a girl smiles.
