First Look: Lifetime's 'Coco Chanel' starring Shirley MacLaine - the trailer
Although it is unlikely to appear on our screens anytime soon, and despite receiving some pitiful reviews, I was still rather intrigued to see Shirley Maclaine play Coco Chanel in the Lifetime biopic creatively named, Coco Chanel. Now after seeing the 30-second trailer for the made-for-television movie, I can safely say - why did I bother?
Oh well... here's to the Audrey Tautou version(below), which will be overseen by Karl Lagerfeld and begins filming on the 15th September, for a 2009 release.
Upcoming biopic Coco avant Chanel (Coco Before Chanel). It is not the ad campaign in which the French actress will soon front for Chanel's iconic No.5 fragrance. Directed by Anne Fontaine, Tautou plays a the young designer from her obscure childhood to her rise to the top.
First Look: YSL's autumn/winter 2008 'Manifesto' starring Naomi Campbell
Yves Saint Laurent may sadly be no longer with us, but that doesn't mean that his legacy has to end. On September 6th, YSL designer Stefano Pilati will distribute over half a million of the label's 'Manifesto' to key fashion cities, including London. Also up for offer are 5,000 limited edition tote bags per capital. On the same day, a short behind-the-scenes film, starring Naomi Campbell for its autumn/winter '08 campaign, will debut on ysl.com. To tie you over in the meantime, a preview of that film can be watched above
First Look: Kate Moss: Gold Sculpture
The statue is bound for an exhibition at the British Museum in October, and has been designed by Marc Quinn.
Valued at £1.5m, the statue is the latest in a series by Quinn, who has also created a likeness of the supermodel in plaster. Named Siren, the gold sculpture is believed to be the largest of its kind since ancient Egyptian times.
"I thought the next thing to do would be to make a sculpture of the person who's the ideal beauty of the moment. But even Kate Moss doesn't live up to the image," said Quinn of his famous subject.
The sculpture will go on display at the British Museum from October 4th to January 25th as part of its 'Statuephilia' exhibition. It will also be the focus on a Channel 4 documentary The Sculpture Diaries to be screened in the autumn.

Shannen Doherty & Jennie Garth Cover Entertainment Weekly
The reunited-at-last pair will dish on their rocky past, unlikely reunion and why the new show shocks even them! The cover feature with Shanne, 37, and Jennie, 36, will later appear on EW.com.
“There was almost a comfort in knowing that I was getting to work with somebody who had been on the original with me and gone through the same experiences,” Shannen recently told Radar. “Like, ‘Okay we’ve been through the war together already.’ I never even gave any thought to it being awkward. I know how much I’ve grown up since then. I would assume that she’s grown up the same amount.”
90210 premieres @ 8PM ET/PT on Tuesday, Sept. 2 on The CW. Hoping its airs in the UK!
Vogue India September 2008: Priyanka Chopra
Surprise surprise (or rather not) Vogue India is back to it’s Bollywood covers, with Priyanka Chopra on the September 2008 issue. It certainly is an improvement from the last issue, and i quite like the edginess of the black Louis Vuitton dress (f/w 08 ) with the red font.
Im not too keen on the wig Priyanka is wearing….it just looks very wig-ish if you know what i mean, and her make-up could have been better, not her most gorgeous shot in my opinion!
Lula Issue 7: Audrey Marnay
There is another cover featuring Ali Micheal

Project Catwalk dropped from Sky1
Sky1 has axed the Kelly Osbourne-fronted fashion series Project Catwalk and said it wants new "female-friendly" shows to replace it.
Project Catwalk, which aims to discover new fashion designers, was based on the US format Project Runway, fronted by supermodel Heidi Klum.
The show, made by Elisabeth Murdoch's Shine independent production company, follows a group of fashion designers as they compete against each other to win the competition.
Project Catwalk launched in the UK in January 2006, with Elizabeth Hurley as host and designer Ben de Lisi as fashion mentor.
However, Hurley was replaced by Osbourne for the second run last year, with the third series airing in January this year.
A Sky1 spokesman confirmed the show would not return.
"Project Catwalk was a great addition to Sky1's schedule," he said. "Kelly Osbourne, Ben de Lisi and the team have provided a fantastic platform for genuine talent, introducing the rising stars of fashion to the UK.
"We felt the series had come to a natural end and we're now looking for some new female-skewed formats for the 8pm slot to complement our success in the 9pm and 10pm hours."
The Sky1 controller, Richard Woolf, added: "We have done three seasons of Project Catwalk. I want to find other shows that will go in that slot. 8pm is a real opportunity. What we really need are some more female-friendly formatted shows."
The show pulled in just over 110,000 viewers for its last series in January. Last year's second run averaged around 300,000 viewers.
Purple Fall 2008: Kate Moss & Mario Sorrenti
The covers just keep on coming for Kate Moss at the moment, including this latest stint for Purple Fashion magazine,a bi-annually magazine, both photographed by and starring Mario Sorrenti. I am sure you will agree with me when I say that this shot of Sorrenti butt-naked, down on his knees clinging to Kate is both powerful and utterly intriguing, especially considering their history.
As Kate recently told Interview magazine: "I suppose when you're young a lot happens. I only went out with Mario [Sorrenti] for a year and a half, and so much happened, it felt like forever."
Meanwhile, I am loving her in this super-short, zipped Balmain dress... if only we could see the expression on her face!

Wallace and Gromit for Harvey Nichols
Zooey Deschanel, Agy Deyn, Irina Lazareanu, Vanessa Paradis; the fashion world is known for it's adopting of a different muse for each different season. However, while most muses can be linked by their quirky style, elfin features and statement look, Wallace & Gromit really stand out from the crowd.
That hasn't stopped Harvey Nichols from enlisting their modeling talent for their latest campaign and decked out in D&G shirts, Alexander McQueen suits, Paul Smith scarfs and Ray Ban Wafarers, I'm actually quite jealous!
The duo pose in an Alexander McQueen suit, Dolce and Gabbana shirt, Armani tie (Wallace) and Paul Smith scarf (Gromit.)
The Daily Mail quotes Arthur Sheriff, spokesman for Nick Parks' Aardman films, as saying that 'we were approached by Harvey Nichols because they wanted a worldwide icon from the Bristol area. We were immensely flattered. We think Wallace, Gromit and Lady Tottington look fantastic.' The reason for wanting a 'Bristol icon' is that Harvey Nichols is celebrating the opening of a new store in Bristol.
She wears a black draped dress by Alexander McQueen, fabulous red patent shoes by Christian Louboutin and a metallic bronze ‘Puffy’ bag by Zagliani
Trend: Paisley
The traditional Persian fabric adorns dresses this summer for the ultimate festival chic look. The great thing is, the darker paisley prints are perfect for Autumn too. Just team with black tights and a cardigan, or even a gilet if you fancy!
Below are some of the paisley print dresses currently available. I especially love the Matthew Williamson Paisley print dress(above center) (£695).

Beyonce To Launch Jewellery Line?
It has been suggested that Beyonce along with Mother Tina who are both big fans of Lorraine Schwartz are about to embark on a business project to produce affordable jewellery.

Who Will Win British Designer of the Year?
Christopher Kane, Gareth Pugh & Matthew Williamson
Do you think that Stella will bag the award again, or will Christopher Bailey win it for a second time? Or will one of London's hot young designers snag it?
Karl Lagerfeld: Teddy Bear: only at $1,500!
Leave it to Karl Lagerfeld to create a teddy bear that is imperious, lethally chic and yet totally endearing," trumpets the unwieldy September issue of W that came in the mail today. Only 2,500 of these limited-edition delights, which launch at Neiman Marcus next month, were made. We'd say it's a damn-fine likeness of Karl, save for the missing fingerless leather gloves. Each Karl bear costs $1,500, so start saving! Because before you know it, Christmas will be here and your child's empty stocking will be staring you in the face, begging for an alpaca teddy bear wearing sunglasses and "skinny lacquered jeans."
