The 37-year-old 30 Rock star chats about what it’s like to be a huge celebrity - from ignoring underlings to playing outrageous pranks like George Clooney and Matt Damon, to her beauty rituals and what she did during the writers strike.

On playing pranks with SNL comedienne Amy Poehler on the set of her new movie Baby Mama:
“We love pranks. I mean, we’re kind of like Cloons and Damon that way, doing a lot of, like $250,000 pranks. I did a really funny prank where I got my assistant to paint all the cars in your neighborhood white so you would wake up and think it was snowing. That was a good one.”

On what she did during the writers’ strike:
“I worked out three times. Well, I went to the gym three times, but I only worked out two of the times. One other time I used the bathroom. Actually, I spent the whole time with my kid, which was nice. It was like the maternity leave that I never got. She is now able to pick me out of a lineup of four or five women.”

On good advice from her mother:
“Always wear a bra. Whether you think you need it or not, just wear one. You’re not going to look back and regret it.”

Chloë Sevigny and Zooey Deschanel

Fashionistas everywhere rejoice, two of our favourite style mavens Chloë Sevigny and Zooey Deschanel are teaming up to star in a new movie together. The actresses have been cast in the indie comedy Divorce Ranch, written and directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg. According to Variety, Sevigny will play an actress who arrives at a ranch with her son so she can marry a wealthy man, while Deschanel will portray her assistant. I wonder who will get the better wardrobe?

Leighton Meester

Like every other young starlet with an enviable wardrobe, Leighton Meester wants to break into the fashion world. In an interview with Nylon mag, the Gossip Girl star was asked whether she'd be interested in designing in the future. Her answer?
"Absolutely. I would love to do my own thing, and see where that could take me. I love fashion, and sometimes I just feel like if I could only do and make whatever I wanted, it would make so much of a statement and really express who I am. So yes, in the future I would love to do a clothing label or work with a clothing label."

McQueen Vs Hilton

Alexander McQueen has never been one to mince words. Opening his new store in celebrity-crazy Los Angeles, he's made it quite clear the clientele he is anticipating doesn't include Paris Hilton and friends, telling media if the heiress is thinking of coming past the boutique, he hopes "she'll keep on walking".
"If she comes past the shop, hopefully she'll just keep walking. I don't really covet that sort of thing. I'm not too fond of these openings, I find them quite superficial," said McQueen. "The people who wear McQueen wear it because they want to wear it, not because it's the new thing in town."
Although his designs have been seen on everyone from Victoria Beckham to Sienna Miller to Katie Holmes. this isn't the first time the designer has made it known his aversion to celebrity. Last year he told US Harper's Bazaar: "I can't get sucked into that celebrity thing because I think it's just crass. I work with people who I admire and respect. It's never because of who they are."
"It's not about celebrity; that would show a lack of respect for the work, for everyone working on the shows, because when the pictures come out it's all about who's in the front row. What you see in the work is the person itself. And my heart is in my work."

Karl Lagerfeld

Look out gamers, Karl Lagerfeld is headed to a game console near you! The designer will feature in the highly-anticipated fourth installment of Grand Theft Auto, due out 29th April.
If you're not that excited about seeing Lagerfeld as the next video game superstar, then fear not, he will only feature as part of the game's soundtrack, where you can listen to him as one of its radio DJs

According to the executives over at Rockstar Games, Lagerfeld didn't hesitate to be star in the game's forthcoming edition, after he was introduced them via friend Daphne Guinness.
"I prefer to be in a video than to play with it," Lagerfeld said. "I would love to be a very nasty, politically incorrect character."
