Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy” - Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday.

CAMILLE BELLE
A far cry from her 10,000 BC togs, the lovely actress captivates in her Giorgio Armani Privé aquamarine silk organza gown with Swarovski crystals and Fred Leighton jewels.

MAGGIE GYLLENHAAL
Arriving on the arm of designer Peter Som (not pictured), the Dark Knight actress is charming in her purple frock and antique Fred Leighton jewels

TAYLOR SWIFT
No trace of a small town girl in this country singer's Badgley Mischka Couture gold and bronze sequined fishtail gown and matching Badgley Mischka accessories.

JENNIFER CONNELLY
The face of Balenciaga wears – who else? – a Balenciaga black and white asymmetrical dress with a dazzling necklace.

LIV TYLER
The New Yorker is a modern goddess in her shimmering black one-shoulder Calvin Klein, loose waves and stacks of Fred Leighton bracelets.

HILARY DUFF
The singer sparkles in a silver sequined Elie Saab gown and dramatic Columbian emerald and diamond Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Mary J Blige

FERGIE
Ka-pow! The singer packs a punch in her bold one-armed black Calvin Klein gown and dramatic ponytail

Janet Jakson and JD

Robin Thicke and Wife

Two of my favourite celeb looks at last night's Met Costume Institute Gala in New York were from Blake Lively and Christina Ricci. Blake's recent penchant for Ralph Lauren saw her wear a black fishtail number from the designer's autumn/winter '08 collection. Note: short black evening gloves are making a return.
Scooping my vote for the best-dressed celeb on the night was Christina Ricci. She looked simply divine in a pink and red floor-sweeping gown designed by Givenchy. It was a fantastic choice for the petite actress, with a nod to the gala's Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy theme in embracing a Wonder Woman style bustier. Love the hair and make-up too!

EVA LONGORIA
The star is all ruffled up in her swirling purple Marchesa gown and Jimmy Choo accessories.

Michelle Trachtenberg, you know-the new one from Gossip Girl, also attended last night wearing a Grecian gown. Her choice of dress isn't one of my favourites, could her hero be Xena?

Kate Bosworth wearing a vintage multi-coloured sequinned dress by Chanel Haute Couture. Accompanied by Karl Lagerfeld himself, I am glad to see Kate incorporating a bit of comic-style into her choice of Met gown.
Our very own Thandie Newton flew the flag for the Brits in this lacy black dress and cape from Chanel's autumn/winter 08 collection. I am not overly impressed by her choice, it borders on lingerie, but perhaps if she lost the cape it might not be so nightie-like.

EVA MENDES
The new face of Calvin Klein takes to the red carpet in a sharp turquoise gown from the label and Shoes by Jimmy Choo

SCARLETT JOHANSSON
Accompanied by the designers, the newly engaged 23-year-old diverts attention from her custom made Dolce & Gabbana ivory tulle corseted gown and 19th century Fred Leighton jewels with her own sparkling diamond ring.

Kate Moss and Stella McCartney

It wouldn't be the Met Costume Gala without models, and with so many designers at their fingertips what did some of our favourite models wear last night? Opting against wearing Chanel for once was Claudia Schiffer, who fronted up to the New York bash in this pale blue chiffon dress by Valentino. The Italian designer who also her date for the evening.
Blowing most of her fellow celebs out of the water was Gisele Bundchen whose pale pink halter neck gown, from Versace's autumn/winter '08 collection, screamed red carpet siren. Our highest-earning model was joined by her football star boyfriend, Tom Brady.

Diane Kruger, who is wearing a short silver dress with neck detailing by Alberta Ferretti and bright pink heels. Likewise, Jennifer Lopez oozed early Hollywood glamour in the one-shouldered blue Alberta Ferretti gown, with bling encrusted neckline and cuff.

BEYONCÉ KNOWLES
The newlywed is the picture of femininity in her pale pink strapless silk organza Armani Privé gown and jaw-dropping Lorraine Schwartz jewels

RACHEL BILSON
The petite actress goes for the dark side in her high-necked black Calvin Klein dress and heavy bangs

CLAIRE DANES
The actress shows off her lithe physique in a fitted black silk crepe Narcisco Rodriguez gown and Harry Winston diamonds, accenting her eyes with dramatic smoky makeup

Geroge Clooney The evening's co-host of the "Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy" gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art makes a dashing duo with his girlfriend, in a vintage black low-backed Giorgio Armani gown.
JULIA ROBERTS AND GIORGIO ARMANI
One of the night's co-hosts is stunning in Cathy Waterman jewels and a silver couture beaded mesh gown by yet another one of the evening's other hosts: Giorgio Armani

On fashion's night of nights we couldn't forget a few of our favourite young starlets. Mischa Barton stood out in this unusual ruffled embellished number designed by Missoni. I definitely wouldn't say it was my favourite look of the night, but it is an improvement on some of her recent disasters. She was joined by Margherita Missoni who chose a rather unflattering tiered strapless gown. I hope she isn't hiding a baby underneath there!
It wouldn't be a New York fashion event without those twin style mavens - the Olsens. Escorted by shoe guru Christian Louboutin, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen arrived at the glamorous bash wearing Diane von Furstenberg.
Showing off their individual styles, the twins failed to inspire in their choices of gowns. Although if I had to choose one it would be Ashley's black column dress with cut-out sides over Mary-Kate's granny-esque gold number. However both girls seem a stranger to a decent hair and make-up artist. Tut, tut!

DAVID AND VICTORIA BECKHAM
While the soccer star goes for a classic tuxedo, his always-daring wife is dramatic in an ivory vintage Giorgio Armani beaded evening dressing coat from the Fall 1989 collection.

NAOMI WATTS
The new mom is an all-out screen siren in her white halter gown, vintage Fred Leighton diamonds and red lips

Katie Holmes continuing her allegiance to Giorgio Armani – he designed her wedding dress! – the star goes for all-out glamour in a vintage red sequined bustier and full ball gown from the designer's Fall 1993 collection paired with striking blue high heels.

Tilda, 47, was accompanied by Justin Bond.

Rihanna

Rihanna is Elle magazine`s June 2008 cover girl.

Inside Rihanna finally talks about the rumor that has been haunting her about Jay Z. (WTF?? I thought she had debunk the rumors about Chris Brown!)

“Well, it’s crazy that you ask me that. People know that it’s not true,” she says, straightening up.

“I think it’s kinda a cliche question, and people know it’s not true, so I don’t even know why it’s still addressed to this day. I get asked about it all the time and I’m like, You’re asking, but you know the answer. I don’t even like to address it anymore.”

I guess she`s a little touchy when it comes to that!

Christian Siriano & Estelle & Puma

While we’re still waiting for stylish Brit Victoria Beckham to start rocking Christian Siriano’s designs, the Project Runway winner has teamed up with another English singer to show off his new mini clothing collection for Puma.

Shine chanteuse — and Kanye West collaborator — Estelle helped Christian unveil the first item from the fifteen-piece line at her record release party at a Manhattan club last night. Siriano created her distinctive ruffle-neck dress by deconstructing three existing Puma tanks.

What’s more, he’s dubbed the R&B artist a muse. He tells PEOPLE, “For me it’s really exciting because it’s great to work with an artist that wants to be more creative and more fashion forward. That’s why I love her. I mean how fabulous is she?” We definitely think the dress is pretty fabulous and can’t wait to see more.

What do you think of Christian’s dress?

Elle

If you haven't noticed, high waisted underwear is making a comeback along with high waisted trousers and jeans. French Elle featured a pair on Laetitia Casta in their February 2008 issue with Rachel Bilson modeling a pair in US GQ. Now they can be seen on Milana Keller on the subscribers cover of the June 2008 issue of UK Elle. Photographed by Matthias Vriens the Russian born model probably doesn't need them to hold in any extra tummy fat, but they do help cut a fine figure. Do you wear highwaisted underwear? I love mine for "fat days" because they just can't be avoided. If you're looking for a nice pair to do just what mine do, try the Miraclesuit Shapewear Extra Firm Control high waist brief from Figleaves.

Kello Kitty & Dior & Vogue

The next model to make her Vogue debut is simply purrfect...
Hello Kitty is getting a designer makeover in the June issue of Japanese Vogue.
The famous cartoon feline will feature in a photo spread wearing the latest autumn/winter designs from Dior.
Carla Bruni eat your heart out!
"Of course this is the first time the historic fashion house of Dior has had a cartoon character model their entire collection," commented an official at Conde Nast Japan, publishers of Vogue Nippon.
As the official admits, Japanese animation and characters have played an important role in influencing fashion for the last few seasons.
"Fashion people all know her [Hello Kitty's] name and face and always say they love her. That's why we at Vogue wanted to do something involving her."
That's one shoot that I am definitely looking forward to seeing...

Hello Kitty gets the Dior treatment for Vogue Japan !
Those pictures from the Hello Kitty photo-shoot for Vogue Nippon have been released and they're worth a look. The famous Japanese cartoon cat has featured in the June issue wearing the latest designs from Dior, and even posing with the man himself - John Galliano... miaow!
During her visit of Paris, Kitty met up with a few other famous faces such as Cameron Diaz, Paris Hilton and Carine Roitfield.

Costume Institute Sneak Peek: Who’s Wearing What!

It’s one of the biggest fashion evenings of the year, and Monday night’s annual Costume Institute Gala in New York has a few famous surprises in store — including the ultra-exclusive seating plan.

Fashionweekdaily.com reports that stylish twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will dine with Diane Von Furstenberg in custom gowns by the designer. Gisele Bundchen and quarterback beau Tom Brady will share a table with Donatella Versace, while Hilary Duff will take a seat with the editors of Allure. And of course, Anna Wintour and her glamorous Vogue team will mingle with co-hosts Julia Roberts and George Clooney

We can’t wait to see what happens when so many stylish stars collide.

The list of glitterati who will be attending next Monday's Met Costume Institute Gala continues to be revealed. We already mentioned that our very own Tilda Swinton will be dressed by Miuccia Prada.

Well, no surprises with the latest news that old pals Katie Holmes and hubby Tom Cruise will be accompanied by co-chair Giorgio Armani.

Other celebrity/designer dates confirmed at this stage are new mum Jennifer Lopez, who is rumoured to be attending with Alberta Ferretti (no Cavalli then?), as well as Kate Bosworth with Chanel, and Eva Mendes, Rachel Bilson and Fergie with Calvin Klein... geez talk about pimping yourself out!

Meanwhile, WWD has got the low-down on who else we can expect including Kate Moss, Mariah Carey, Renée Zellweger, Scarlett Johansson, Claire Danes, and Mischa Barton. As for the designers - look out for Valentino, Tom Ford, Dolce & Gabbana and Donatella Versace.
My money is on Victoria Beckham and Roberto Cavalli... or perhaps Marc Jacobs?! Either way, it's shaping up to be HUGE!
Check back here on Tuesday for all their fabulous fashions.

Heidi Klum

Heidi Klum showed off her post-baby body in sexy Jordache ads last summer, and now the supermodel has teamed up with the denim brand again, this time for her own line, using the same scrutiny she does on Project Runway.

“I was a fit model for all the clothes until it was the way I wanted it,” Klum told PEOPLE at the launch of “Heidi Klum for Jordache” at Bloomingdales in the Beverly Center mall Wednesday night. “I wanted something that was wearable, fits great, cute tops, not too complicated. You go in your closet, you put it on, it fits, it works, it’s still cute, it’s sexy.”

Clad in a black top and snug skinny jeans, both from the collection, Klum stressed that she wanted to make the collection her own. “What was important was that I bring my own personal touches to everything — like the pockets, we worked a lot on the pockets,” the 34 year-old model explained. “Every designer owns their butt pocket, so this is my butt pocket which I’m very proud of. It took a while, I had to do a lot of fittings, but I think that it came to be a nice back pocket.”

But that’s not the only Heidi-touch. “All the buttons have my clover on it — I’ve been designing clover jewelry for the last five years so I wanted to incorporate that,” she explained. The line, which includes blouses and knits as well, is available exclusively at Bloomingdales nationwide, retailing for $140-$298. And the collection already has it’s first fans — Klum’s friends! “They have everything already! Of course, I have to hook up all my friends.”
