Photographer Mike Ruiz with stylist Emma Pritchard have worked with designers Phillipe and David Blond to create a memorable shoot that utilises light, shine and reflection to advantage.
Each model is draped in jewels, warrior cuffs and extravagant costumes paying homage to the era of “Thierry Mulger”. High shine make-up gleans behind a dramatic bowl cut hair as the models pose like Zen Space Goddess’s.

Stylist Nikko Kefalas combines textured over the top outfits with feathered headdresses and stylised wigs. Shot in an old barn complete with cages, the look is dramatic from head to toe with artistic make-up and hair complimenting the extreme outfits.
Often representative of bird like poses, Models Sara and Natalie’s alabaster skin contrasts beautifully against the earthy colour palette highlighted with mineral golds, decaying browns and antique creams.
Perhaps the hero image to encapsulate the whole theme of the shoot is the scene where the model appears like an exotic blackbird trapped lying in a cage with her full feathered skirt plumped around her.
