Alternative Apparel: Spring/Summer 2012

Leading Apparel Brand to Unveil an “Oasis of Color” at L.A. Fashion Week. This season’s highlights include asymmetrical maxi-dresses and high-waisted mini-skirts in colorful prints, as well as a selection of must-have novelty pieces for women, including sheer, mesh tanks, cut-out sweatshirts and beaded Baja Cloth ponchos. The men’s line also offers breezy Baja Wovens in hoodies, shorts and button-downs, plus more of the brand’s vintage varsity-style A Game collection. Rounding out the spring 2012 collection, Alternative Apparel showed off nautical-inspired bags and accessories, including canvas and leather satchels, totes and carryalls in a variety of colorful solids, stripes and prints.

Alternative Apparel: Fall 2011 Collection

Alternative showcased its Fall 2011 Collection of apparel and accessories on Tuesday night in a modern presentation that included a runway show and a surprise performance by the 20-member Silver Lake Chorus. Styled by Ilaria Urbinati with hair by Erin Moffett and Candice Birns and makeup also by Moffett, the presentation was followed by a cocktail party DJ’d by Actor Donovan Leitch. This season, Alternative embraced organic prints, earth tones and weathered washes and introduced an expanded product offering of cozy outerwear, chunky knits and hand-detailed accessories.
