Like a fashionista in space, this series of super slick images are inspirational, unique and highly stylised, indicating the level of creativity behind both the team and Zink Magazine for commissioning the work.

Photographer Mike Ruiz with stylist Emma Pritchard have worked with designers Phillipe and David Blond to create a memorable shoot that utilises light, shine and reflection to advantage.

Each model is draped in jewels, warrior cuffs and extravagant costumes paying homage to the era of “Thierry Mulger”. High shine make-up gleans behind a dramatic bowl cut hair as the models pose like Zen Space Goddess’s.

Along with fellow designer Stefano Gabbana (above), guests like Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, Camila Alves and Matthew McConaughey, Dita von Teese, Eva Herzigova and Claudia Schiffer (both above) fêted the 50-year-old–and the new collection–at the Dolce & Gabbana Gold restaurant last night.
Also in attendance were some of the week’s most chic: Petra Nemcova, David Grandy, Carine Roitfeld, Hilary Alexander, Ann Stordahl and Ken Downing, along with Anna Della Russo, Anouck Lepere, and Stephen Gan (all in D&G, of course). Psst... Is this the real reason why Matthew Williamson left Pucci?

Yesterday, Matthew Williamson waved goodbye to Pucci for the final time (pictured, above) - more on that later. After presenting his last collection for the Florentine label, Williamson will be hanging up his boots leaving Peter Dundas to take over his role as artistic director.

However, after reading Imogen Fox's piece in the Guardian yesterday, I wonder whether there is more to this story than the official line that Williamson leaving to focus on his namesake label.

"Recently there have been criticisms that the label was starting to look more like the designer's signature line," she writes.

Pucci bosses are also rumoured to have been unhappy over Williamson's multitasking and travelling, particularly as he expands his label out in the U.S.

"In a recent interview, Laudomia Pucci, daughter of the company's founder, Emilio, stated how important it is that Dundas will be based in Florence. He has a strong print background and although he is currently collaborating with a Parisian furrier, he will no doubt have fewer distractions than Williamson," she added.

Stay tuned for our coverage from the Pucci S/S 2009 show - coming up!

Rihanna says clothing collection is "definitely going to happen"

Rihanna at Gucci S/S 09 show

For those Rihanna fans who have been patiently waiting on confirmation that the starlet will launch her own clothing line, slap a smile on that dial because here it is.

The songbird is in Milan right now, where she sat front row at the Gucci show this week and happened to mention to WWD that a fashion collection is still on the cards.

"I can't say when it will be released, but it's definitely going to happen," she confirmed, before adding: "I'm not one to rush into anything. I want to take my time."

Okay yes, I have been known to scoff at the odd celeb clothing line, but I think this one could actually have some potential. PVC chaps aside, over time Rihanna has certainly developed a 'look' that is entirely of her own, where she isn't afraid to push the envelope and take risks. I am certainly curious to see what the pop princess can produce.

Meanwhile, Rihanna is also in Milan to help show her support towards Gucci, of which she is the official ambassador of their campaign with UNICEF.

"I give them so much respect," she said.

Milan Fashion Week: DSquared go for drama

There's nothing better than a catwalk show that's full of OTT drama, and DSquared definitely managed that with something that resembled a glam cocktail party rather than a traditional fashion show. Models walked down the runway in threes, high-fiving each other and partying with debonair designers Dean and Dan Catten. The clothes themselves were pure 70s glam - think Halston at the height of its success, and Diane Von Furstenberg partying at Studio 54, teamed with some Charlie's Angels denim (dittos, look out) and huge sunglasses.

The Olsens branch out into footwear with Steve Madden for Elizabeth and James

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen

It looks like Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are continuing the expansion of their Elizabeth and James line.

After doing a line of jewellery with Robert Lee Morris, the twins are now teaming up with Steve Madden on Elizabeth and James shoes.

The question our friends at Fashionista are asking is will they be affordable shoes a la Madden's usual sold alongside $700 dresses, or will we be seeing the advent of $500 Steve Madden pumps?

Thandie Newton hits the cover of BlackBook, October '08 issue

I must admit, like many I was rather looking forward to seeing Thandie Newton on the cover of BlackBook's October '08 issue, especially after Tilda Swinton's stint last month. However now after seeing it, I'm not too fazed. The black-and-white cover not only is yawn-worthy, but it makes the actress look uncomfortable and well, not at all like herself. Where is the interest, the fabulous clothes and that award-winning smile of Thandie's that we have come to know and love? Snooze fest.

Climb aboard a Marc Jacobs's 'Daisy' black cab today!

We've said it before, but we'll say it again - black cabs are becoming way cool. Not only does Miss Moss drive one, as does Issa designer Daniella Halayel, but now Marc Jacobs has jumped on board.

Between 22nd September to 19th October, the designer has transformed cabs in London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Edinburgh into one big daisy chain, adorning them with flowers to celebrate the first anniversary of his Daisy fragrance.

Inside each cab, you will catch a whiff of Daisy eau de parfum in tip seats decorated in daisy fields and lollipops given out to each passenger. Ahh... How sweet it is.

Kelly Knows How to Bump Milan…

Chic Report caught up with Kelly Rowland at the Just Cavalli show…

Is this your first show?
This is my first show…in Milan…this season…yes.

What else will you see?
Perhaps Mr. Cavalli’s other show, but I think that’s it. And I will be performing tomorrow night! [Tonight, Cavalli is toasting his collaboration with Coca-Cola Light at his Just Cavalli Café.]

What do you like to do while you’re in Milan?
Eat! I love eating at this amazing restaurant—it’s a hotel, actually. The Bulgari.

You should have a spa treatment while you’re there—the spa is amazing.
I’ve heard that, actually! Now that I heard you say it—you’re the third person who’s said that—I’m going to go.

Barbara Walters Refuses to Take Off Her Favorite Gown

Barbara Walters really, really loves Oscar de la Renta. But she’s refreshingly humble about it. She refuses a front row seat at his shows and wore this stunning gown THREE times this year. First, she introduced her favorite outfit to the world at the Costume Institute Gala (right), then wore it again to the Daytime Emmy Awards (middle) and completed the trifecta at the Met Opera gala (left) last night. Of course, only a legend could pull this feat off.

Harpeers Bazaar UK : October 2008: Editorial: Emma Watson

It looks like designers featuring in editorials is a new trend.

We have seen how wrong it can go if star is a little lackluster like Jessica Biel for Harper's Bazaar, and we have seen how fantastic the idea can work, with someone who has a spark like Jennifer Lopez for Elle.

Now we have Emma Watson in a similar editorial for Harper's Bazaar UK, with a whole host British designers.

The Alexander McQueen dress above may look familiar, and because Emma wore the same dress without the cape to the The National Movie Awards recently.

We have been seeing Emma around a lot recently. She featured in Vogue Italia September 2008, and we have seen a lot of her at London Fashion Week last week. Hopefully we will get to see more of her work in the future.

Here is the rest of her bewitching editorial.
